Brother DCP-J315W Review
This is a multifunction, color inkjet, a multifunctional printer with an internal media card center. Now this will tell you almost everything you need to know as far as functionality goes. This is a printer, scanner, copier that can operate wirelessly and print directly from your Sony Memory Stick / Pro Duo or SD card.
The printer comes with everything you need to use it wirelessly right out of the box and easily managed like any other wireless device. It is possible to connect hard to your PC or laptop using the port tucked under the scanner mat, but the required USB A-B cable not included. In all honesty, if you are not going to use this printer wirelessly, I would recommend shopping for another brother’s printer that has the exact functions you need to save money. However, if you are looking for a printer of this type, without wireless, DCP-197C is what I recommend.
This is a very offensive printer to sit at your desk and is very compact because the paper loaded from the tray under the printer, rather than the most feeding method offered by the manufacturer. For inkjet printers, DCP-J315W uses a huge cartridge at 29ml for black and 20ml for each of 3 colors. Because all Brother cartridges are not peeled off, you can take compatible cartridges very cheaply without your printer, even realizing that you don’t use your factory. Here at Refresh, we sell it for £ 1.87 per round.
At 28 / 35ppm (pages per minute), this is a reasonably fast machine and, although a little slower, can produce excellent high-quality photo prints, with additional options for borderless printing. With a scan resolution of 19,200 x 19, 200 dpi (dots per inch), the same high quality can be expected from the default scanner/copier.
In short, the Brother DCP-J315W is ideal for homes with a variety of excellent features and is also highly recommended because of the high print quality and scanning it can produce low operating costs and a compact and minimalist design. While the build quality is excellent, I would not recommend it for use in a busy office just because I know how much abuse the machine might get. If it intended for office use, the lack of a fax machine could also be disappointing.
