Xerox Phaser 6110 – The Home Office Printer
Xerox is a name that well recognized in the copying industry, and its latest affordable laser printer coming onto the market is the Phaser 6110 Printer. When compared to other products that are supposed to be in the same niche as this one, it is very inexpensive, and you have to wonder why.
One of the better points of the printer is its size. It is not often that you can find a complete laser printer that is only 15″x14″x10″. It will fit into the smallest of spots and allows you to make the most out of the space that you have in a small office.
The processor is relatively quick for such an inexpensive model as it features 300MHz. The printer also has a color resolution of 2400dpi x 600dpi, which is also in the upper range of what you would expect at this price point. When you are printing detailed images, this is very helpful in processing them quickly.
On the flip side, it only prints as 17ppm speed that is not bad for the price, but you would still expect more out of a laser printer. It also does not support printing on both sides, which in today’s day and age, is an almost must-have feature.
When you are looking to compare this printer to other that it is supposed to stack up against, you can put it up against the features of the Samsung CLP-315 and the HP Color LaserJet CP1215. As you will see, it is significantly cheaper than both of them while having very similar characteristics as both of these units. The reviews of the products on many sites are very similar in nature, so again, you have to wonder how Xerox can put out the same product as these two other companies at almost half the price!
The printer itself is suitable for printing necessary images, presentations, and color documents and can handle both A4 and legal sized documents. It can hold up to 150 sheets of paper, and the output tray can hold as many as 100 sheets. The monthly duty cycle is just over 24,000 pages, and it uses the 6100 toner cartridge.
It depends upon what why you are purchasing this printer will decide if it is the right choice for you. This printer is not meant to crank out papers left and right. Some of the frequent feedback is that it will overheat if you abuse it. This does not mean that it is a wrong printer, but as we stated earlier, it is intended more for home use or small home business. This not meant for a corporate office.
